Give the wheel a spin at Seize the Clay! Our private pottery wheel lessons are perfect for those wanting to experience the wheel.

 

Our 45-minute lessons are a great way to try wheel throwing for the first time! In these intro lessons, our instructor will demonstrate the basics of centering the clay on the pottery wheel by throwing a bowl. After the demo, you will get to throw 1-2 bowls. You can come and relax in this fun lesson or bring a friend! Your class fee (plus TN state sales Tax) covers EVERYTHING for your lesson including glazing your bowls at a later date! This pottery wheel lesson is great for date nights! Ages 16 and up.

Our 2 1/2 hour pottery Lesson is a chance to really give the wheel a serious go. In this lesson, like the 45-minute lesson, you will focus on centering the clay but in this lesson, you will have more opportunities to perfect your technique. All pottery class fees are all-inclusive and include studio time, one-on-one instruction, tools and equipment, the 1st "bisque" firing, painting/glazing, and the final firing of the pottery.
