Seize the Clay is proud to be the first Paint Your own Pottery Studio in Memphis to offer Glass Fusing to our customers. Our extensive Glass Fusing center is the perfect place to be creative in a new art medium. Once a month we host our Glass Fusing workshop where you will learn the ins and outs of designing, cutting and assembling your own glass items. Customers have a wide range of projects to choose from including: Plate and bowls ranging in sizes 8” to 12” in diameter in circle or square shapes. Prices range anywhere from $35 to $60 per project. If you love Art Glass Jewelry then the Shard Special is for you. A $20 fee allows you to create as many small pieces as you can fit on your tile (most people average 8 to 12 pieces). We also have specialty Dichroic Glass (metallic and iridescent glass) for sale separately to incorporate into your glass pieces. The first 15 – 20 minutes of the work shop includes instruction and the rest of the time is for creating. Our friendly staff will be present to answer all of your questions during the workshop. Glass pieces made at the workshop are generally ready in 2 weeks. There is not cost to attend class, just the cost(s) of the projects you choose to make. Once you have attended a Glass Fusing Workshop you may then come in to the studio anytime and create glass.
